And if you hold shift and click the sim, there are thousands of things you can do. Just mess around and play with it :P Hope I helped! P.S if you type help in the cheat bar it comes up with some cheats, i'm sure theres one there that lets you enter the amount of money you want your sim family to have and it will add it on, but i've never used that one sorry.
