downloading lots and houses into my sims2 game from sites other than The Sims 2 official site?

The homes are never there does anyone know how download them into my sims game ive put them into.

    For me its just like downloading pakaged sim hope this helps.
    The lot bin in any file once you click the download it does for me its just like downloading pakaged sim hope this helps.

    The file you get from modthesims2 will either be .rar or .zip. You need to use winrar to uncompress .rar files. Windows will unzip zip files on it’s own (winrar will too).

    After you’ve uncompressed the file double click on it’s contents and it will install in the correct place.
